Its a really cool website . with the circuit of simple pic programmer from this website , i could be able to work on PIC and start my journey.
I am a user of Ubuntu , so i am going to try simple pic programmer , which has serial interface with my ubuntu , + wine combination.
Another problem i am facing is conversion of usb to serial port , from my laptop to programmer circuit. I got help from another site for that also . .. will try next week . and going to do small projects with the setup.
Really a good site . I thought of buying the USB pic programmer for 999, but i have doubt whether it will work on ubuntu or not ..
so going to try the simple circuit first .

Note one point that NO serial programmer works with USB-to Serial Adapter. They need a physical serial port. So if you don’t have real serial port don’t make them.
